After developing the Chris Caine® Survival Tool, Chris felt it would be more practical in some situations, to have the choice of a large or small knife, so he began to design the Chris Caine Survival Knife; giving us the freedom to chose what product would be best suited to the tasks in hand.
For example if you are out foraging for plants and fungi then although the Chris Caine® Survival Tool would be able to do the job, it would be a more practical choice to use the smaller CC Survival Knife, giving more freedom of movement and in this situation more flexibility in uses.
Producing this knife has been a long hard process, as many prototypes have been produced and thrown in the bin as they just didn't do what we wanted them to do, or they done the job but not as well as we wanted them to. After a lot of hard work, testing tweaking and patience we finally worked out the final design, a design that was both aesthetically pleasing and practical for the jobs it had to tackle.
There is also the Chris Caine® Military Survival Knife, which comes with grey micarta handles and a black Teflon coated blade.
